Stage 2 Update featuring 5 different playable characters.

SLAY-BELLS is about a Reindeer named Charlotte and her friends, who are trying to help their home planet "Kringlaus". There's a secret treasure known as the "Mega Bell" hidden on the farthest planet in her solar system. Kringlaus is falling apart, and Charlotte read that the fabled "Maga Bell" will help restore the planet with its powerful ringing. Charlotte's plan is to go around to collect enough "Sparkle Carrots" to power her space ship, hopefully making it to her destination. She will need to collect enough bells to get through some areas though! Travel isn't cheap. however... outside of bells being a currency, Charlotte and her friends also wields a trusty bell collar! these bell collars helps them gather bells to pay for their travels. They can also be used to "slay" dangerous monsters they come across! Charlotte and friends have a long journey ahead of them! And during their adventure, they will travel, collect, and make even more friends that will help them on their journey to collect the "Mega Bell" !

The style is cute and fun, the music is quite nice, and the controls (on M&K) are quite suitable (but a lil static), but there a lot of flaws that sour the experience.

Major:

Z-indicator should be a line, considering how the camera cannot look down.

Stomp hitbox is too small, just a peeve.

Camera is stuttery.

Camera is very limited.

Why choose worse characters? Is there a benefit? exclusive areas or perks?

(I also got softlocked after the giant tree because of either bad level design or the character I played had a weaker jump...or both).

Minor:

Game lags at fullscreen? How?

Bells are too slow and have a small magnet range.

Lackluster dialogue, which is fine but makes it really easy to just want to not read.

Somewhat cheap level design, invisible walls and obstacles.
(big tree, hit gift box with collar, big tree disappears??).

Stretched out textures.

Overall, It's okay, but it lacks any thing to distinctify it from other collectathons, it unfortunately isn't that fun.
But it's fine, it's not that bad and definitely can bring those who like this specific genre some fun.

The game has some weird problems with joystick controls, I tried both PS5 and PS4 joysticks, both with and without DS4 app, and controls don't work as intented in the game (jump is SQUARE instead of X, for example) and also the camera CONSTANTLY unstoppably rotates, so can't play with controller at all and there's no controller or keyboard settings which could help at least disable controller to use keyboard only an, for example, retune controls using Xpadder as a temporary measure to play.

I recommend you reinstall the game. If the problem persists, let me know. Thank you for playing the game.

Nothing has changed so far. If you mean that you updated the game, the file is still old here. The game runs from exe, no need to install. Also I still use Windows 7 but since the game works just fine and the problem is only with it not understanding the joystick it's not OC-related I think...because I play other steam game fine with PS4 joystick.

I've been told that adding the game on steam fixes those issues.

I built the game with an Xbox controller in mind, so I sadly don't have any way to test a Playstation controller (they work a bit different, as Xbox uses X-input, but Playstation uses D-input. But I heard adding it on steam emulates the X-input automatically.)

Yes, great advice, it worked. I never even knew I could add non-steam games to steam and play them and it'd have such effect.
